Each thematic unit has the same format: ?PLANNING PAGES-reproducible checklist to keep track of activities taught ?VOCABULARY-a checklist with an alphabetical listing of target vocabulary to be taught for each theme ?LANGUAGE ACTIVITIES-a description of 10 language activities for each theme ?PLAY STATIONS-a description of 5 play stations related to each theme ?CHILDREN'S BOOKS & ACTIVITIES-an annotated list of 5-10 children's books related to each target theme along with 2-3 learning activities based on each book ?SPECIAL VISITS & SPECIAL VISITORS-suggestions for field trips or guest speakers related to each target theme ?PARENT LETTER-a reproducible letter for parents describing theme-related activities for them to do at home with their children ?SIGN LANGUAGE-line-drawings and descriptions of sign language
